Games

I’ll slowly be adding all the games I’ve worked on either by myself or with my company Plug-in Media. I’m about half way through, so keep checking back :)

Nev’s Jambuster

Nev's JambusterProbably my favourite game, and certainly very addictive! Nev’s Jambuster was part of the Saturday morning kids’ show Smile, played both on their website and live on the TV show. The gorgeous animation and artwork was by Dominic Minns, and it was one of the first jobs we worked on together at Plug-in Media.

Extreme Pamplona

Extreme PamplonaThis is the largest game we have ever made – 9 levels, each in a different global location, Pamplona, Munich, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Geneva and Moscow. We wanted to get the smooth feel of the original Prince of Persia, only much, much faster and more exciting. Built by the Plug-in team, this was a huge hit on Miniclip and is still one of their top games.

Stan James Original Free Kick Challenge

Stan James Original Free Kick ChallengeThe first 3D football game that I ever made, and this was in Flash 6 or 7 from memory. Using a 3D engine created from scratch, this game was made while I was working at Kerb in Brighton. It’s amassed a huge number of players (last count was around 75,000,000) mostly due to the brilliant creative direction from Jim and the team at Kerb, but also partly due (I hope) to the nice 3D effects and playability :) . It won the NMA effectiveness award.

Philips – The Simple Game

Philips Simple GameAnother 3D soccer game, this time in Flash 8 and designed to use the new video capabilities of the Flash Player, but again using a custom built 3D engine (this was way before Papervision3D existed!). This was built with the Plug-in Media team in conjunction with art direction from our clients at TribalDDB and was a Cannes Cyber Lion Finalist. Work your way from the dusty South American streets, right up to the world cup final. But mind the chicken!

Lunar Lander

Lunar LanderA painstakingly accurate representation of the original arcade game Lunar Lander in Flash, and just like the original, it takes a while to get the hang of it! Read about the game here. Oh and by the way, you may be watched

Lunar Lander 3D

Lunar Lander A 3D version of Lunar Lander made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission Read about the game here. This was built on from the original version in only 5K! Read about the 5k version here.
